Backyard Firepit Addition

The next day we finally made our mind to make one after attending a friend’s party where we got to enjoy a nice campfire.

We bought this portable/smokeless Tiki Firepit instead “making” one. Firstly it looks nice. Secondly it’s “smokeless”. I really don’t want to get complained by the neighbors.

The top layer is pea gravel. The last ground leveling.

Bottom layer is just gravel. Trying to level the backyard slope as much as possible.

Garden fabrics in.

In case of the rain washing the higher side dirt down, using some concrete mix might help hold the foundation.

That’s hard work digging out the dirt and trying to level the (slightly) sloped ground at the same time.

Before grass/dirt removing, finding the irrigation pipes and securing them is important!

The next morning we made our mind and painted our plan! There is no way back.

12/26 Update: isn't it nice sitting in the string lights lit backyard?
