Festival of Cultures - Welcome to Taiwan ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ

Success for our debut ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ผ at Meridian School Festival of Cultures. Special thanks to my Taiwanese friends' support for the flags, snacks, souvenirs and the interactive games to make our booth one of the most popular ones. Taiwan is small but our heart is big! I'm glad to have the opportunity to showcase my country.

Next day after signing up the country booth, we went to Office depot to get our supply and an hour later we had our design taped out.

Started with Taiwan 10 facts I found interesting and unique. Some brief introductions and printed pictures should work for country booth presentation? I think.

Thanks to my Taiwanese friendsโ€™ support. These mini versions of interactive night market games and temple-like rituals should make good impressions for the audience.

Just in a week, the framework plus the contents are basically done. I was less worried about being late for a week later Festival of Cultures showtime.

We took advantage of the rest of time preparing my kindergartner sonโ€™s presentation about Taiwan but it doesnโ€™t quite work for a big crowd like this. I enjoyed presenting my country out of my instincts and memories from my first 30 years back at home.

My husband took over the second hour. He emphasized the high mountain tea leaves and crushed them for making tea fragrance for the audience.

They know they are half Taiwanese and they enjoy waving the national flags.

We did a little extra work to be able to fold and store the poster board better by making a foam board hanger in the back hanging the Taiwan island instead of taping it onto the board.

Taiwan is a country without questions.
